Beauty without expression is boring.

It really is isn't it? What's the point of following everybody elses idea of beauty? Have fun with your makeup and nail polish! Pick the brightest, sparkliest nail polish, jewelry, makeup or clothes if that's what catches your eye! If you find a more classic look most appealing, then go for it and don't be subtle about it. Really just relish what you love. I personally am drawn to lots of sparkle and a bohemian vibe. You wouldn't think the two would go together but I make it work *wink, wink*

A big fat WELCOME to Spring finally! I don't know about everybody else but up here in Michigan, the Winter has been a harsh one. It was actually pretty mild all the way through January but come February, BAM! It's became quite blizzard-y. Blizzard-y is a word, I swear! ;-)

       Any way, I can't wait to plant flowers and launch our new Spring nail polish collection...... Stay tuned for more details!

Introducing... GILDED IVY

This is Gilded Ivy from our Gilded Ladies Collection. It's a finely milled green glitter with a hint of gold. Very pretty alone or over a base color. All of the polishes from the Gilded Ladies Collection have a hint of gold to them like they have been lightly dipped in it. Hence the name gilded. I personally love these polishes over a white or black base depending on the shade you choose.

       Starla is one of the first polishes from when we started. It reminds me of everything girly, so sweet and sparkly with all of the pinks, purples, blues and silver.        Sunny Skies is a part of the Shades of Grey Collection. It is made up of matte grey and yellow glitter in a clear base which makes it perfect as a top coat over any shade of polish. You could also wear it alone for a more subtle effect as you can see in the nail swatch of the middle nail below.

Hello March...

Goodbye February!

Well it's time to say goodbye to February. It feels like the month has just flown by! It's been a good month for Sidgra. We have seen more traffic this month than ever before and things are really starting to pick up. It's all thanks to all of you out there! SHAMROCK - our new St. Patty's day inspired polish. Lots of sparkle in a green jelly base. I think I'm gonna like this one year round though... love me some green!

Introducing...BLAZE

BLAZE - It is inspired by a fire topaz. Lots of tones of orange and pink with a little gold. I absolutely LOVE these colors together. Tell me what you think in the comments below. Are you diggin' it too?

When I Grow Up....

I have to say, one of the best parts of my business is naming my creations. I can make them pretty (Gilded Delilah) or I can make them weird (Ruffle Bunny). I can make them nostalgic (Popple or Truly Outrageous!) or I can make them a little morbid (Bloody Traitor). It's fun and it feels like the icing on top of the proverbial cake of my creative effort.
